Here is a list of generally declared Vintage Ports since 1900. Note how since the 1990s the tradition of only 3 declarations per decade has been cast aside.

The weather conditions throughout the whole growing season have been described as perfect. The 2011 vintage is being lined up to be amongst the greats.

The very hot Summer lead to a split declaration where vineyards on higher ground and with better drought tolerance tended to produce better although low yielding fruit. This vintage is being compared with 2003.

A cold Winter meant lower than usual yields. Not widely declared, but Noval and the single quintas produced good wines.

An exceptional year with wonderfully powerful wines. However the 1977 and 1985 vintages appealed more so 1983 is a good value Port. Declared by most houses.
